Delete your TIPT account

You can delete your TIPT account and all of your personal data at any time. There are two ways to do this.

Option 1 — In the app

1. Sign in at tipt.social/signin.
2. Go to your Profile page.
3. Scroll to Delete account and confirm. You will be asked to type your email address to confirm the deletion.

Option 2 — By email

If you can't sign in, email privacy@tipt.social from the address registered to your TIPT account with the subject line:

We will verify the request comes from the email on file and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your profile (name, photo, bio, employer, city, payment handles).
• Your connections (hookups, invitations you sent or received).
• Messages you sent and received via TIPT (the recipient's copy of a one-to-one message is also removed from their view).
• Your TIPT account row, OAuth links (Facebook, LinkedIn, Google), and session data.
• The list of social networks your account was confirmed on.

What may be retained

• Anonymized aggregate metrics that are not personally identifiable (for example, a count of how many sign-ins happened on a given day) may be retained.
• A short retention of system logs (typically 30 days) used for fraud prevention, security investigation, and required record-keeping.
• If you initiated a tip via a third-party payment provider, the record at that payment provider is governed by their own retention policy, not by TIPT.

Timing

In-app deletion is processed immediately and verified by an email confirmation. Email requests are completed within 30 days of receipt.

If you signed in via Facebook

Per Facebook's Platform Policy, this page is the data-deletion URL for the TIPT Facebook app. Following the steps above is the supported way to delete your TIPT data when you signed in via Facebook. The TIPT app does not retain a copy of your Facebook profile after deletion.
